Let’s look at some wedding invitations. First is the above, which I love because it looks like wood panelling. And the way everything is presented together with flowers and fake birds. Maybe I should photograph some of my work like that. Yes, I definitely should photograph ALL of my work like that.

Truth be told, I’m actually getting kind of tired of banners and things that look like crests. But this works so well with the overall design.

Confetti! I love it! And it doesn’t even look tacky at all. When I visited Belgium and told people I was from Long Island, one or two of them said “Like Sabrina!” because Audrey Hepburn is the only Belgian to become famous, ever, and they are justly proud of her.

I really love this one. It’s so soft and subtle but somehow still bold and graphic, and just a tiny bit frilly. I’m just crazy about it.

Black and white stripes forever!! And mixing it with the yellow honeycomb pattern, and giant blocky type? I love it!

Check out these painstakingly illustrated cities by illustrator Rob Dunlavey. The project is called “Crystal Cities” + it’s impressively expansive
I would love to construct something like this. Either to photograph for a Julien-Vallée-style poster, or as a rainyday activity for a babysitting charge. Is this duality the signifier of great design? Yes. I’m going to say yes, if your work could not be on the cover of CMYK AND be an arts and craft project for a child, it is a failure.

black and white stripes and psuedo religious imagery are two things that i love almost every time.
There’s a write-up about how these are part of a series inspired by Timothy Leary, but I don’t really feel like posting that.
