Making a whole installation for use in print: I love. Also patterns made out of a word over and over.

This wallpaper reminds me a lot of the doodles I do when I’m at my desk or talking on the phone. I’m feeling very stupid for never thinking to do something cool like this.
wallpaper love (again).

Coming soon, from Penguin UK, and continuing with the trend set by the much-coveted and admired clothbound, redesigned penguin classics.
Using a stylized repeating pattern to sum up the feeling of a book seems like a good fit for Fitzgerald, because I read that when he published the Great Gatsby people were like “Fscott, this book has too much 20’s stuff, when people read it in 15 years it’s going to seem DATED and RIDICULOUS”. But who’s laughing now? Everyone still wants to buy a copy of the Great Gatsby and they want to buy it with a classy, art deco, jazz age cover.

Nice shirts and bags by Loyalty & Blood in Brooklyn, NY. You can buy online, but if you live in New York, find them at Brooklyn Flea.

I always doodle eye-balls, so this t-shirt fits squarely in the “Why didn’t I think of that?” category. You like drawing eyeballs? Draw a bunch of eyeballs! And I can never think of something draw when I want to make a Drawing, you know?
Also tote bags

You will look so boss hauling your apples back from the farmers’ market in one of those.

from Hard Feelings

Check out these painstakingly illustrated cities by illustrator Rob Dunlavey. The project is called “Crystal Cities” + it’s impressively expansive

I would love to construct something like this. Either to photograph for a Julien-Vallée-style poster, or as a rainyday activity for a babysitting charge. Is this duality the signifier of great design? Yes. I’m going to say yes, if your work could not be on the cover of CMYK AND be an arts and craft project for a child, it is a failure.

I’m especially drawn to the bottom two. They have a vaguely narrative quality. The last couple of times I tried to keep a diary, it looked a little bit like this.
